Wildlife Medicine Services in Los Lunas, NM
Our doctors and staff at Los Lunas Animal Clinic have experience treating animals of many different species. If you come across an animal that seems to be injured or abandoned, please give us a call at 505-865-4604. Before approaching, please first make sure it is safe for you to intervene. Do not put yourself or others at risk to rescue the animal. Before making any attempts to help the animal, please call us, and we can help you determine if you should bring them in.
Wildlife Medicine
Dr. MacDougall is considered one of the private industries’ regional experts in handling veterinary issues with wildlife. He is experienced with all methods of capture and restraint of Elk, Deer, Bison, Antelope, Big Horn Sheep, and more. We own a pneumatic dart gun thus enabling us to safely and humanely provide medical care for all wildlife species.
We are the on-call clinic for Wildlife West, a local habitat for native New Mexican wildlife. Visitors are welcome. Please visit wildlifewest.org for information.
Dr. Thompson supports the care of most varieties of the exotic animal. We include reptiles, birds, some marsupials, and amphibians in that category. This list is not inclusive, so please call if your pet does not appear on the list. Dr. Thompson truly enjoys the challenges involved in caring for these very special creatures.
